Is there a way to edit the bookmark file to select and delete multiple entries at a time?

Is there a way to edit the bookmark file to select and delete multiple entries at a time?

Chosen solution

Hi Samcorea, when you are viewing bookmarks in the Library window -- either

  • Ctrl+Shift+b
  • Show All Bookmarks

-- you have a couple options.

To display bookmarks you want to edit, either:

  • Click the folder you want to clean up in the left column, then the bookmarks in that folder will be displayed on the right side
  • Use the search box at the upper right of the Library to find bookmarks that match your query

Once the bookmarks are listed, you can multi-select files. For example:

  • Select a group: Ctrl+click each bookmark you want to select
  • Select a range: Click the first bookmark and Shift+click the last bookmark

Then to delete the whole set, press the Delete key on the keyboard, or you can right-click one of the selected bookmarks and click Delete on the context menu.

Does that help?
