Not sure what you're afraid of loosing. When resetting the master password, it will remove all passwords Thunderbird has remembered. You'd need to enter them once again when being prompted the next time. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Master_password

Not sure what you're afraid of loosing. When resetting the master password, it will remove all passwords Thunderbird has remembered. You'd need to enter them once again when being prompted the next time. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Master_password
