all my bookmarks are gone after have syncronized tehm with my mobile phone, what cann I do to get it back again?

I wanted to syncronize the bookmarks i had on my computer with the bookmarks I had in my tablet. The bookmarks I had in my computer are gone. I have now the old ones. After a while I do not have anything now. This is a disaster. How could this happened. This is the work of years. I do not have anything now. Please help.
