Why has FF stopped supporting Dashlane Password Manager?

Posted

I use Dashlane PW manager and since updating FF, FF states it can no longer verify this and has disabled it.

I have used FF forever and this is not good.

Is this a permanent change or just an oversight? If this is permanent, I will get rid of FF before I get rid of Dashlane.

"If Firefox says that Dashlane is incompatible but you're using the latest public release of Firefox, don't worry. You just have to upgrade Dashlane!"

I have this problem but the proposed solution does not work: I have the latest FF and the latest Dashlane. Also, when I look for Dashland extension in AddOns as directed by Dashlane's site, no DL extension is listed in FF extensions. Now what?

Hello dschneider1,

Maybe it this case it would be best if you'd start your own thread and post a new question :

I am uninstalling Firefox, since it doesn't recognize Dashlane after upgrade.

Possibly related to issues that happen if you run Firefox as administrator with UAC disabled.

Mozzila is getting as bad as Microsoft. Everytime they do an upgrade they mess up my computer. Then I have to spend hours I don't have to spare fixing their damn mess. I sure wish software companies worked for the user, not to try and drive them up the wall. Bunch of jerks
