PC to Firefox to www.PragerU.com. Choose a video, play it! No problem.

Amazon Fire stick to Firefox to www.PragerU.com. Choose a video, play it! It bounced you out of the www.PragerU.com website, out of Firefox, and back to Amazon Fire stick home screen.

This also happens on some news websites i.e. Fire stick to Firefox to www.livenewson.com. Choose a station, bam!, you are on the Fire stick home screen. The exact same thing works fine on my PC.

Hi

Thank you for your question and the information you have provided, that helped me to try those sites myself.

I have looked into why you are having thus issue and from what I can see, Firefox for Fire TV does not support the type of video file those sites use. We are looking into this issue and hopefully this can be fixed in a future update.

Oh, it is not supported? It worked fine for the past year? When did you end support? Why did you end support?

Hi

There have been been problems supporting the JWPlayer videos since the launch of Firefox for Fire TV, but this is something that I hope we can resolve in a future update.

It worked for the past year. Then it stopped. Why?

Hi

As far as I am aware, Firefox for the Amazon Fire TV has not supported that video type for a long time now. If it has been working for you for some of that time, it may have been linked to a particular site or a particular video publisher.

So you want me to go away is that it?

No, far from it, I am just aware that this is an issue and that (from what you have said) this may be something that is intermittent (it works for some sites or videos and not for others).

Fingers crossed this can be looked into a fixed soon.
