I have tried every I know how to do, tried everything searches have recommended and tried everything your help section has recommended and I still cannot turn off autofill, a feature that I intensely dislike. How do you turn off autofill?

Then that would indicate your Browser is either corrupted or something has gone wrong within it causing it not to be able to save settings. Check your security software as that is probably the culprit causing it.
