Cant open some pdf attachements in email since bitdefender installed
Since installing Bitdefender Total Security 2019, I find that Fifrefox64 wont open certain e-mail pdf attachments, though Chrome works ok. The problem seems to be related to the file size, as smaller pdfs are opened ok. In an attempt to diagnose this, I have disabled all Bitdefender modules, and restored normal operation, then enabled modules one at a time testing again at each stage. Finally, I found that with all modules enabled Firefox would open the problem pdf, but after shutting down my PC and re booting the problem returned.
Any help most appreciated. I am running Windows 10 Home Single Language, fully updated.

You should check your security software settings and what how it is blocking attachments. And what Modules are you referring to?
I am unfamiliar with Bitdefender, so sorry, you need to be a bit more specific than "check your security settings"
The modules are: 1. Start by bringing up the Bitdefender interface.
2. Go to the Protection window.
3. Click on the Settings button in the ANTIVIRUS module.
4. In the Shield tab, turn off the switch next to Bitdefender Shield by clicking on it.
NOTE: You’ll be asked for how long you wish to disable the protection. In the drop-down menu select Permanently or Until system restart then click OK.
5. Return to the Protection Features screen.
6. Click on the Settings button in the ONLINE THREAT PREVENTION module. In the Web Protection tab, turn off all five switches for the following features: Web attack prevention, Search Advisor, Encrypted web scan, Fraud protection, Phishing protection. In the Network Threat Prevention tab, set the switch to OFF.
7. Go back to the Protection Features screen.
8. In the FIREWALL module, set the switch to OFF.
9. In the ADVANCED THREAT DEFENSE module, set the switch to OFF.
10. In the ANTISPAM module, set the switch to OFF.
11. In the VULNERABILITY module, set the switch to OFF.
12. In the SAFE FILES module, set the switch to OFF.
(I didnt go any further than that)

What I have just noticed is that if I shut Firefox (which asks do I want to cancel 1 Download?) I agree to this, and then re-open Firefox, and the problem PDF appears.
Is this a meaningful clue to anyone?
