Can I install Thunderbird in Windows 10?

We recently obtained a Microsoft Surface GO notebook. It appears to refuse installation of Firefox and Thunderbird. Short of returning the notebook and buying a different brand, how do we install and operate them?

If it meets these requirements https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/60.0/system-requirements/ then it should install.

You'll need to be more specific than " It appears to refuse installation "

Thank you, Wayne 'It'is probably the Windows 10. Our impression is that the Windows 10 will accept and run only software acquired through the Microsoft 'store'. And when I look at Firefox and Thunderbird help with installation I get only references to Windows XP and other older formats.

The normal Windows 10 Home and Pro most consumers would use on say desktop and laptops will allow applications such as Thunderbird and Firefox to install.
