Thunderbird will not send notifications to Windows 10 action center like all of the other apps do. It is really annoying. I was able to work around it by adding my accounts to the Mail app so it can send me notifications when I get emails, but Thunderbird still will not. I posted a question already but I do not know how to get to it or where it is. Please help. And email me if necessary. Thanks! -MAC

That is correct. Thunderbird does not use the windows notifications center. In my opinion a good thing. You obviously like being interrupted with notifications all day. I hate it.

When it might get updated to include that windows integration I have no idea. But it will not be soon is my guess.

Could you please update it anyway? There is a way to disable it once it is available, but there is no way to enable it if it is not available. So we both win. Thanks and please update it very soon! -MAC

I don't get a say in when things are done or even if they are done.

Perhaps you might want to have a look and see if there is anything in the way of an enhancement bug already files. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/

There is an add-on, GNotifier, but it no longer works in TB 60.

Instead of Action Center mail notifications, I prefer the display provided with Unread Badge:

Thank you sfhowes, but what do I do with the add on? I saved it and tried opening it, but which app do I use to open it? Should I do Thunderbird? Or something like Excel or Word? -MAC

To make changes to the Unread Badge xpi file, change the extension from xpi to zip and open it with any zip utility. Extract the install.rdf and bootstrap.js files, edit them with a text editor, then add them back to the zip file, change the extension back to xpi, and install like any other add-on:

Thanks. It did not work. The notifications still show up only when I open the program. -MAC

Yes, any notification from TB, with or without an add-on, does not function unless TB is open. Action Center integration is still in the development stage with Firefox, so once it's released it may work its way into TB.

Um... I was messing around with the toolbars in the Thunderbird message thing, I unchecked all of the toolbars, and now I cannot right click to choose which toolbars to display. I used to be able to just right click, and then it would let me choose the toolbars, but now I do not know where to right click because all of the toolbars are gone (Oops.). Please help. -MAC
