Restore master Password?
Somehow in the process of changing the Thunderbird master password on two different machines, on one machine I ended up with the wrong master password stored in my password manager. I see the procedure for resetting the master password (and, unfortunately, forgetting lots of things). Since I am the administrator, I can restore files from my backups. Is there some file in the Thunderbird profile that I can restore in order to restore the master password to what it was when the backup was taken (without damaging other things)? For obvious reasons, I don't want to restore the whole profile.

Depending on the version of Thunderbird you are using, the master password and passwords themselves are stored in the files key3.db and cert8.db or key4.db and cert9.db in your user profile directory.

Restoring key4.db worked great, thank you.
