Hi peter.pan1, the text in tabs should be centered vertically by default. Are you currently using any custom style rules in a userChrome.css file that are modifying the appearance of tabs?

Unfortunately, the add-ons site has so many tab management extensions and search is so primitive that such things are hard to find. This one works with a hotkey instead of automatically:

Not sure if the author would want to add an "automatic" option.

Good day.Yes im using .css .....took me weeks to get back my look and feel that i had in the old ff.......but still have a little way to go... my tabes function is the last tweak to go....just need to get the open tab to jump to the far right...If you can create a code for me it would be much appreciated......Here is a pick of center opend tab that would be grate if it could jump to the far right when its open..

Fond this and it works but sadly dose not keep the setting... Soon as i close the setting and addons window it looses its setting. useless...........

I hate to be negative, but it hurts my eyes! I think you need a helper who can install your userChrome.css file and figure out how to tweak the text labels in the context of your existing rules. Otherwise, there's a good chance you will get an ineffective or conflicting rule.

I can't use it myself; I really don't like my tabs to change places. But obviously we have very different ideas about tabs. 8-)
