Why can I no longer view cookies in detail?
There are other (older) threads about the changes to Firefox that mean I can no longer view cookies in detail, but I can no longer and my voice to them. To judge from the other correspondence, someone at Mozilla has just decided we don't need to do that any more. That is not too clever, particularly in Developer Edition, where I need to view cookies that I've set myself, to make sure they are correct. It's not really acceptable to be told I must now find an extension to do what Firefox has always done internally.
It's not helpful to be told I can see cookies in Inspector. I want to see them at times when I'm NOT visiting the site concerned. Can we have it back, please?

It sounds as though you are familiar with the Storage Inspector, but just in case someone else reading doesn't know what Inspector you meant:

Have you checked the Add-ons site recently for a cookie viewer that might better suit your needs?

The Storage Inspector can only access cookies from the domain in the current tab and the Cookie Manager can't inspect individual cookies. You will have to use an extension if you need to inspect individual cookies globally.

The built in Cookie Manager WAS able to inspect individual cookies. Why has it been changed? It all smacks of 'Teacher knows best'.
