Some websites I cant view text in search fields until I select it. I am on Linux ubuntu

Note that the OP is using a Firefox version from the Ubuntu repositories and can only update via Ubuntu software update.

Are you using a dark theme or have modified the default text color and background color (black text on white background)?

Some websites assume this default and only change one of them.

  • Options/Preferences -> General: Fonts & Colors -> Colors

Didnt work. Youtube is a major one but many other websites will not show text. Many others are fine.
