How can I fix: "Error message on Thunderbird: Account temporarily unavailable"?
I used email as usual yesterday and all was fine. I'm aware of no changes, but received this message today:
"ERROR MESSAGE: Sending of password for user contact@johncoyle.org.uk did not succeed. Mail server mail.gandi.net responded: Account is temporarily unavailable."
I've checked the password and found that I was typing the password wrongly because CAPS LOCK was on. So, I had entered several password attempts with the wrong password. But I'm now having no success using the correct, valid password.
Can anyone help please?

Assuming you allow Thunderbird to store passwords, make sure Thunderbird has correct pasword here:
- Menu icon > Options > Options > Security > 'Passwords' tab
- click on 'Saved Passwords'
- clickon 'Show Passwords'
- Right click on each mailbox/imap/smtp line for the account and select 'Edit Password'
- Make sure all is correct.
- click on 'Close'
- click on 'OK'
I would hazard a good guess that after frequent invalid attempts to access the server, Gandi has put a temporary block on the account as it had no idea who was trying to gain access. To protect your account, Gandi blocked access. How long this will last is unknown, as Airmail says and I concur, you need to ask Gandi. But, it may well be worth attempting to logon to the webmail account via a browser and use the correct password to logon. There might be some method eg: using a captcha required to logon. If successful, this might get access again in Thunderbird.

The error is from your email provider. I would contact them.
