latest update kills firefox ability to enlarge images on image page
Hi,
I am up to date with firefox, 61.0.2 (64bit)
It updates me, not me it, which I dislike as sometimes it wrecks itself. I cannot get images on the IMAGE page to enlarge when clicked on, since the update went on a few days ago. I try IE and no problem. Normally If I search on e.g. spitfire and go image option and see loads of pictures, clicking on one will open the image larger and allow me to visit the webpage, none of that now works. How do I revert to the previous firefox until Mozilla fix this as I cannot use the internet to find websites as I have to in that manner anymore. I am dead in the water.
I have disabled addons incase update was incompatible but no better. I had last night installed the photobucket fisco fix though I am sure I put it on a week or so ago but still couldnt see the missing pics so saw a link to a fix and did it, rekon it was same prog.
so how do I go back a version in firefox and stop it doing auto updates ? Just recently it keeps messing up what with ebay scroll issues and now this. Though scroll issue was an addon that used to work ceasing to do so after I installed the page translator S3 prog then firefox updated. Now I have had to rip that off to get ebay to work.

Hi, I tried it next day and it was working again, Asked my friend and he also found it working fine again, so Mozilla have it appears fixed it, no doubt through lots of feedback as its vital.

Please provide a public link (no password) that we can check out. No Personal Information Please !
How were you enlarging the pictures before?
Hi, Public link, not sure how to do that. This is not just me, rang a friend and he tried and got same problem, said they have broken Firefox ! my homepage is Google.co.uk I launch Firefox, type Aluminium into google search, hit enter and select the 'images' view, see lots of items, click one and nothing happens. It used to be that doing so saw a larger image appear with the thumbnails still existing above and below it, with options at right to visit page for the large image.
Do that in IE setting it to google.co.uk as home page and it works as expected. Friend who is a PC wizz did so and declared same problem, they need to fix it he said.

Make sure you are not blocking content.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
One issue that seems more common lately is Firefox's Tracking Protection feature. When it is blocking content in a page, a shield icon will appear at the left end of the address bar next to the padlock icon. This article has more info on managing this feature: Tracking Protection {web link}
I suppose this is a 'limited' problem, as I have TP on, and the Google Image feature is working at my end. Hope you find the problem.

Did you get an image results page with a radically different layout? Google has been experimenting with the page and some users report they see something like a mobile layout instead of the traditional layout. Could you check this thread: Google loading as mobile version?
