The display name you can easily change yourself, but as long as we don't know what proflle you're referring to , I won't explain how to do that just yet.

I get that as maybe you did not understand.

Only a Admin can change the account name or as you call it username so I posted proper place where people can request said change so it will attention of the SUMO Admins.

The Questions and Forums are two different sections otherwise I would have moved this thread to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/forums/contributors instead of what I posted.

As you are new here so maybe you were not fully aware.

Look unless it is something that would perhaps be best to be done in private then yes trying to get a hold of one of the SUMO Admins by PM can be a option.

However the proper place and can be faster is to post the SUMO account name change request in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/forums/contributors as you can then get the attention of multiple admins (as many as seven) that can help with SUMO account name change.

Now you know. So next time you see a thread like this you can either post a thread in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/forums/contributors yourself on behalf or ask the poster to post there for request of SUMO account name change.

Also so you are aware. If you see a thread in a product section and it should be in another section you can report the post so it can be moved, instead of asking the OP to create a duplicate thread as I have seen you do.

Anyways since the poster managed to get SUMO account name change. locked.

Hey folks, I am going to lock this thread as the user has been helped and I don't think it is productive to discuss where a user should be asking this question.

I understand that there are no documented guidelines for when a user wants to change their username. I think we need an FAQ in the guidelines for where you can get help like this. A regular user is not familiar with the maze of the community content.

Please know we are also working on getting the community guidelines more visible for all users. I invite you to have discussions like this in the contributor forums, not in a thread like this one.
