After having followed the process of creating a gmail account in Thunderbird, the account is visible , including the inbox.

However, after trying to create an email I get the message from google that I should set up my browser to allow cookies as the imap server seems not to be reached.

I have looked to all te forums and applied all recommendations ( "enable imap", checked all the settings, used Oauth as authentication, enabled cookies on my browser- tried both chrome and firefox, did several restarts,.....).

Still does not work.

Thanks for helping

Rudi

Chosen solution

You need to enable cookies in Thunderbird for https://accounts.google.com

Thanks very much. I was not aware of the cookies settings in Thunderbird. It did address the issue.
