Thunderbird doesn't detect links in a specific incoming email but other emails work fine.

Using Thunderbird 52.9.1, I cannot open any links in incoming email from one specific domain (Groupon), and Thunderbird doesn't recognize any links there. Nothing happens when links are clicked. But if I switch to another email client (Outlook) the links are present and active. All other incoming emails work just fine. What controls this behavior in Thunderbird?
