Restore Thunderbird 52.9.1 Lightning Calendar connection
Recent Thunderbird update erased the link to add-on calendar
Chosen solution
Open the add on tab in Thunderbird and click extensions. Is Lightning listed? If not enter lightning into the search field and install it. If you install the correct version it will be compatible.

I removed Lightning, restarted Thunderbird and the link to the calendar was not restored. However, an error message did show stating that: " Lightning is incompatible with Thunderbird 52.9.1.

How can you remove and reinstall lightning when it doesn’t even appear in a search from the Add-on tab? It appears in a web search, but the details are confusing.
Thunderbird 52.9.1 My installed (disabled) version: Lighting 6.2 Website: Lightning 5.4 ??! https://addons.thunderbird.net/ga-IE/.../?src=search
Then there’s a box with a red slashed circle (implying it doesn’t work), but the text says “Feidhmíonn sé le Thunderbird 52.0 - 52.*” (It works with Thunderbird 52.0 - 52.*). If I click on the ‘other versions’ link it shows *older* versions.
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Calendar/Calendar_Versions This page suggests I should have version 5.4.9.1 installed — have updates for Lightning somehow been distributed to incompatible versions of Thunderbird?
I’ve been waiting for an upgrade through Ubuntu’s package management system (which I’m guessing will happen eventually).
Should I manually install Lightning 5.4.9.1 or manually install Thunderbird 60?
Bloody annoying, either way!
Seanos, since your are using a different operating system and your problem is different please start your own thread for your problem. Besides that, posting to a solved thread is not a good way to get much help.
