Firefox doesn't play video if website is over a certain weight
Hi,
having spent time looking for solutions online and doing tests with settings, checking & unchecking hardware acceleration etc, clearing cache etc & so forth. It would seem to be a performance related issue but not necessarily. Perhaps a browser fault.
there seems to be an issue with websites that have multiple videos even with a preloader.
the problem is most obvious on firefox PC not Mac
they download to the client but they don't play
example.... open this link in 3 tabs on firefox
http://mimicsuits.pash.rocks/sites/all/themes/sharktheme/65ac5515-3e77-46fa-8919-2d3176a05fed.mp4
1st will play, 2nd will probably play BUT by the 3rd they have all stopped playing. Maybe one still trying to play.
similarly on a website the activation of a video leads to a time delay equal to at least the length of the video but remains a still image for it's duration. Frozen image at best.
It would seem websites in the 35+ mega range with multiple videos are unable to play fluidly on firefox yet they play well on chrome
Youtube, etc all plays fine.
Why do 3 x 11 mega video tabs freezing on a new PC using the latest Firefox?
Thx

Hello,
The Refresh feature (called "Reset" in older Firefox versions) can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information.
Note: When you use this feature, you will lose any extensions, toolbar customizations, and some preferences. See the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article for more information.
To Refresh Firefox:
- Open the Troubleshooting Information page using one of these methods:
- Click the menu button
, click help
and select Troubleshooting Information. A new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.
 - If you're unable to access the Help menu, type about:support in your address bar to bring up the Troubleshooting Information page.

 - Click the menu button
 - At the top right corner of the page, you should see a button that says "Refresh Firefox" ("Reset Firefox" in older Firefox versions). Click on it.
 - Firefox will close. After the refresh process is completed, Firefox will show a window with the information that is imported.
 - Click Finish and Firefox will reopen.

Did this fix the problem? Please report back to us!
Thank you.
Pardon me, but why would you want to play the same clip on more than one tab/window?
I did this, it seems to improve momentarily but after the 3rd loading things are gummed up again so sadly does nothing to resolve the problem permanently.

Well you might have three tabs open to watch 3 videos and Chrome can do it, firefox can't.

I would also ask this as well. But whatever the case is - I loaded the same link on 4 FF browser tabs and they ran just fine no breaks or stuttering. So I think something else is going on with your system and isn't related to FF wholly itself. So the fact I can open 4 Browser tabs and they run just fine means something is beyond FF is causing your problem. This with W10 Pro 1803 FF60.0.2.
