Ubuntu 16.04 LTS Firefox Build 60.0.2 crashes on start
Firefox on Ubuntu crashes on start and can not be started by any means.
Quiting firefox does not resolve the issue. Re-starting firefox does not resolve the issue. Running firefox from the command line does not resolve the issue.
Have tried sudo apt-get remove, purge, etc. and installed over and FF continues to crash on start.

Hi, since no one is getting back to you, please try : a Refresh but Note that this does more than uninstalling and re-installing does. Normal uninstalling does not remove some preferences which may have become corrupt. Please Refresh but do this 1st: Delete your Cookies and Cache and TEST.

TEST....... If no issues then Extensions which need to be added back in 1 at a time and tested ..... Or it is your Profile : Make a new one and test ...:

Thanks for the reply. After deleting all directories and sudo-apt purging firefox and re-installing it and running firefox -p via CLI I setup a new profile and then when I attempted to start firefox using new profile:

I wonder if it is where you are getting your compile from ? Have you tried or can you use Firefox's -
Tried to run English firefox from the link you provided.
Was unable to get Ubuntu to run the script: ~/firefox/firefox
Running firefox from the CLI resulted in same crash. Also I attempted all the above after deleting the .mozilla dir in the /home/ dir which is generated each time firefox is run.
One thought worth mentioning. The firefox executable is set to default open with Wine.
