
Why will Thunderbird not connect with Verizon/AOL server? It was fine yesterday.
Yesterday, Thunderbird was working fine. Today (16 June 2018), it cannot connect to the Verizon/AOL mail server. I know the connection is working because Firefox is working fine. In the past, when the connection couldn't be made, I simply closed Thunderbird and re-started it. Then it would connect just fine. It keeps telling me to try later or to change my password. Why would the password be a problem? I have looked at some of the Verizon/AOL/Thunderbird notes, but none of them give me a real solution. Thanks.

There is no relation to anything Yahoo in my Verizon/AOL email as far as I know. This morning, Monday 18 June, I typed in the password that should have been stored in Thunderbird and Verizon/AOL and it started working. Also I'm working on a PC and have no "devices" that have apps.
