Hi, what hardware and software are you using for Popcorn ?

Have you checked the Popcorn Support for the answer to your issue ?

As Firefox itself does not have closed caption capabilities. It is Hardware or Software or the Site.

Turn off your Adblocker as it maybe causing the issue.
