how do I set the default to open mail in a new window? There is no longer a reading option under advanced options with open messages in choice

I had my hard disk crash and am setting up thunderbird again. I like my emails opened in a new window but all the advice talks about updating it under Tools>Options>Advanced>Reading>open messages in: a new window or a new tab selection. My version of Thunderbird does not show a Reading choice under the options. Is there a new way to do what I want?

Thanks, I kept looking under the advanced on the main options screen not in the display screen. Duh! Thanks
