for pete's sake, twice now I have been doing research with numerous web pages open. When I have had to reboot due to some Mac issue, Firefox update kicks in automatically and I lose my immediate history

Firefox always shows "Update Ready to Install" :MAC Only SOLUTION: Remove /Users/<name>/Library/Caches/Mozilla/ which contained the directory /updates/Applications/Firefox/updates/
