FF Bookmarks point to wrong website
FF bookmarks point to wrong websites with 60.0 update. This occurs for most Firefox bookmarks as well as those imported from Chrome and Internet Explorer. Previous version (57.?) didn't even show bookmarks on sidebar. If I clicked on Bookmarks (at top of screen between History and Tools) previous version showed History which was also empty. See screen shot below for example of current issue (bookmarks point to wrong location).

Are you sure the site didn't change something as well? Instead of the bookmark did you try to go to the site typing it in?

If you use Sync then best is to disconnect Sync temporarily during troubleshooting.
You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks and history) in the Firefox profile folder.
- use "Verify Integrity" on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page

If "Verify Integrity" on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page cannot repair places.sqlite then remove all places.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder. Firefox will rebuild places.sqlite and restore the bookmarks from a recent JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.
- keep a backup copy of places.sqlite in case a new places.sqlite database has to be created

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

I have been traveling so sorry for the delay in replying. My attached screen shot showed an example of how very wrong the Mozilla bookmarks are: : Brunswick County Library points to something on Trip Advisor. If I type in the address it works fine.

I have been traveling so sorry for the delay in replying. I will try this tomorrow and reply back. Also, I am getting messages to update Mozilla from 60.0 to 60.0.2. Should I try your fix first or update, then try the fix? I am a little leery of updating since this problem occurred after another update.
Best is to update first and it is possible that updating triggers a profile cleanup (re-initialization) that repairs the places.sqlite database automatically (you may lose history though).
