I get a message on Windows 10 that I need to "create an association in he Default Programs control panel" in order to email a group of photos which I have compressed the photo files using Windows 7 Zip. Don't know what the heck they are talking about?

Are you right clicking in file manager and selecting send to > mail recipient? or doing something else?

Thanks, I choose my files and right click in order to bring up Windows 7 Zip, then choose " compress and email", after doing this I get the "need to make an association. . ."

try just right clicking ans selecting send to and then mail recipient.
