PressReader works OK in Chrome but no longer in Firefox.

I can access PressReader but when I click on the "Read offline" field, the image of the newspaper disappears and no part of the screen normally used has any response. In contrast, exactly the same keystrikes work perfectly. This has only happened recently but all the usual steps don't make any difference. Why does Chrome work when Firefox doesn't?

Hi, as per previous post I suggested you look to see what they recommended as yes there is no Press Reader and if did not like their suggestions to use provided URL to search for a alternative.

You may want to check the community forum for Bitdefender as : There is security software like Avast, Kaspersky, BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connections and send their own certificate which cause issues.

Hi, please see this article for their suggestions from Nov 2017 : https://www.pressreader.com/uk/web-user/20171129/282514363838219 I imagine the have a link to this where you can find alternatives with the right search words : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/extensions/

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

This didn't help. Chrome doesn't need any add-on to work; in any case, there are no Press Reader add-ons that I could find. My guess is that the problem is deeper. Firefox has changed something that Chrome didn't; I suspect that it's outside the user-changeable arena. If there IS a user change, I can't find it. Anyone up for checking out difference between Firefox & Chrome that have happened recently? Of course, it could just be my machine. I use Bitfender but can't find anything to pin the blame on that app.
