google map search box not working Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 ?

I have been using google maps for a few years now. For the past few days my search box does not work any more. I cannot type anything inside of it. When I try to type it just gives me search suggestions. I played around with some settings for something else and I think I either turned something on or off. I've re-installed a new Firefox (I think, how can I be sure ). And when I Use Safari browser works just fine.

I'd suggest you refresh Firefox, Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

Also, you should update your Mac if possible, https://www.apple.com/macos/how-to-upgrade/ the version you are using is not supported anymore, is slower and insecure.

After a complete re-install and keeping all my profile settings it was once again working properly. I also shut down all my add-ons and plug ins and started them back up since and all is well.
