If I click a link in Thunderbird, Firefox opens with a blank tab - but Chrome works fine
I use Thunderbird as my email client and Firefox as my default browser.
If Firefox is closed and I click an URL in Thunderbird it opens Firefox but the tab is blank (i.e. opens Firefox without instructing it to go to the URL).
If Firefox is already open and I click an URL in Thunderbird then Firefox opens a tab and goes to the correct page.
If I change my default browser to Chrome then everything works fine whether Chrome is already open or not.
Firefox used to work fine up until a week or so ago. I haven't installed any add-ons in that time. I've tried different URLs from different emails. I've restarted my computer several times. I really prefer Firefox as my default browser but, at the moment, I'm stuck using Chrome.
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks for any help you can give me.
(I'm running the latest Thunderbird and Firefox on Windows 10.)

I've managed to fix this by doing a "Refresh" of Firefox. (Start Firefox whilst holding the shift key and click the Refresh option). Hope that helps someone else out who has the same problem.
