That’s what I thought. But it didn’t work. I finally just created a user name and password, and signed in. It was one of those problems that makes no sense, wastes too much time trying to figure out, and usually is fixed in the next update anyway. Thanks for your time.

User name can be your email address. Always has been. Interchangeable on many sites and is common.
