Can't use Firefox as a primary browser because after opening a new tab it freezes for around 10 seconds. The new clear tab is freezing also after trying to interact with it - changing settings to remove recommended and last visited websites leads to freezing, pressing the "Done" button on "New Tab Preferences" settings leads to freezing, also it freezes after trying to close snippets of messages from Mozilla at the bottom of the new tab.

All add-ons/plugins are disabled and before I've also refreshed/restored Firefox to default settings. Firefox version is fresh and actual (59.0).

Please consider turning on send info to Mozilla from with in Firefox before posting a question. This helps us help you. I have no info from your system that would help see things that cause issues.

The new clear tab  ???? All add-ons/plugins ?? as above we have no information about them. Thank you for supplying the version # as we had no info on that.

It seems there is an issue that only affects users who have turned off cleartype font rendering within their windows settings. so a workaround for the moment would either be to turn cleartype back on or disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox: Firefox's performance settings https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/performance-settings

Please try the above and inform us of the result.

If above fails please : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 59.0.1 with a Full Version Installer

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
