how can I copy multiple email addresses into the cc line of a message

more options

Using copy/paste, not entering individually or through contacts

Using copy/paste, not entering individually or through contacts

Chosen solution

I find the easiest way to do this is to use the List function from within Thunderbird's Address Book.

When looking at the Address Book window, click the New List button in the toolbar, give the list a name then place your cursor in the top line of the large box below for the addresses and paste. So long as they're comma delimited, when you click okay Thunderbird will place each address on its own line and you can then use the name of the list in the destination field of your choice in the Write window of the message you want to send.

Thunderbird prefers a single address per line but you can separate them with a comma. Why do you want to put several addresses on a single line?

They don't have to be on a single line, but I do need to copy/paste them in a group.
