Why can't I add Google sites as a Security Exception? They work fine in every other browser.

hangouts.google.com uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown. The server might not be sending the appropriate intermediate certificates. An additional root certificate may need to be imported.

Error code: SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER

=====================================

The address I use to get there is: https://hangouts.google.com/

Usually when it sends a invalid security certificate that is coming from the site hasn't updated their certificate. That is the case most of the time and sometimes the A/V or Firewall is too aggressive and they do cause some of it as well. So does it work in other Browsers?

Yes, as stated in the title, it works in all other browsers(Chrome, IE, Edge). However, I did notice, if I refresh it enough in FF, it will actually come up eventually. Not sure what that's about.

Sounds like something you want to report to Mozilla bug team to look into.

For me that address redirects to

https://hangouts.google.com/webchat/start

but I'm not logged into my Google account, so yours might redirect somewhere else.

If you have similar UNKNOWN_ISSUER errors on other sites, we can help you investigate. Intermittent errors can be hard to track down...
