Chrome remembers my user name only when I so choose. Does Firefox have the same feature?

Chosen solution

Not that I know of.

Firefox can only store both username and password in the Password Manager. You can edit the password field by double-clicking it and leave one dummy character (*) that you would have to clear from the input form. If you create a block exception then Firefox won't ask to update the real password that you enter.

Hi, yes! Open the 3-bar menu > Options (Privacy & Security) - History, and select Remember search and form history - Control whether Firefox automatically fills in forms. To remove a saved entry, select it then press the Del key.

Note, under Forms & Passwords, do not select Remember logins & passwords for sites.
