TBird says it can't find pop.verizon.net, and I can't find where to sign in.

I migrated from Verizon email to AOL email, keeping my verizon.net address. Can send and receive on my phone, but not my computer. I use Thunderbird on PC. It used to ask me to sign in, but no more. I was unsuccessful in signing in, either user name or password was wrong. I have not been able to receive email in TBird since 1/3/18. I wanted to change from pop.verizon.com to imap so I could view emails on multiple devices.

Read this. https://help.aol.com/articles/verizon-move-to-aol-mail-setting-up-your-new-aol-account-in-a-third-party-email-program-or-mobile-device-imap Nothing there says use verizon.com for a server name.

Turn off your anti virus and try again. The most common cause is that error is anti virus that is messing about in the background.

Anti virus off. Still won't accept either password. I now have two folders on Thunderbird, one pop and one imap. All old emails are on pop, no emails are on imap.
