go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Options --> Privacy & Security panel and under Permissions check (put a tick in the box) the setting to Prevent Accessibility Services from accessing your browser.

Monitor in Task Manager. Should stay below 2 gigs. If excessive then do below and monitor and change if need to...Test and go up again , go back down, it will eventually get a zone you and it can live with.

Note : if things are working well may not need to reduce cores used.

Go to the 3 Bar Menu then Options --> General --> Performance and untick everything. change the recommended size lower then see how it runs. Note: 1 = No Multiprocessor = slow again. Try 2 Restart Firefox after making these changes please.

Note : Hardware Acceleration is for Video Card, Monitor to see if remain off or to turn back on. Think it would be best to back those up.

Already Prevent Accessibility Services Most active firefox in Task Manager has 320K memory, and sum of all fire fox images is under 1Gbyte. Performace setting is not change yet, I will try it afer. I had been using firefox portable, so I had copied it and clear all bookmarks, then it worked well.

Uncheck performance setting default and change # of contents processes to 2 then it improved a little. For example first bookmarks window by ^B shown in couple of seconds, but occasionally freezes for tens of seconds. I can not yet know whether freeze happend only in bookmarks operation. I will investigate more.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks and history) in the Firefox profile folder.

• use "Verify Integrity" on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page

Firefox Portable works well with no bookmarks, or Firefox Portable worked well after you cleared the bookmarks and restored a backup??
