highlight text by scrolling to the right is not work in the new version of firefox?

Highlight text is not work like the old version, I can't highlight text by moving my finger from the left to the right to highlight text but now I need to double click on the text and drag the blue circle , How to activate scrolling to the right by my finger to highlight text like the old version of firefox?, because it's more convenience than double click on text then drag blue circle to highlight area.

Chosen solution

No....everything is force updated except : unfortunately 56.0.2 and below is no longer safe to use for every day use do to security issues, but 52.5.2 ESR. It will continue to get security updates until May 2018, and you can download and install it from this page:

Note : Legacy Extensions will be deleted or removed in any version update after May 2018.

You should make a backup of your Profile before going back and just because:

Which extension are we talking about, could you link the extensions add-on page?

it's not extension but it was on firefox by default without any extension addons on it

It maybe Kaspersky

In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:

  • all extensions are disabled (about:addons)
  • default theme is used (no persona)
  • userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored (chrome folder)
  • default toolbar layout is used (file: localstore-safe.rdf)
  • Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (prefs: javascript.options.*jit)
  • hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Advanced > General)
  • plugins are not affected
  • preferences are not affected

I do as you said but still nothing is change, is there a method to return this feature as the old version?

Woow I'm so so thankful to you for your help, the ESR version solved it and all the issues that I have not just this. I'm really appreciate your time and help
