firefox will not work anymore
This will be the 2nd time asking for help, the 1st time no one answered so I have low expectations. I am about to switch to another browser if I do not get some help. I click on the firefox icon and nothing happens. Since the last update, firefox takes up too much memory and crashes every hour. I can only have 1 or 2 tabs open at a time. Worse browser ever NOW
Chosen solution
Sorry no one answered. As Support is Volunteers not everyone is around to help and it may have got over looked.
uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0.2 with a Full Version Installer
So the 2nd is to do this please : go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Options --> Privacy & Security panel and under Permissions check (put a tick in the box) the setting to Prevent Accessibility Services from accessing your browser.
Monitor in Task Manager. Should stay below 2 gigs. If excessive then do below and monitor and change if need to...Test and go up again , go back down, it will eventually get a zone you and it can live with.
Go the 3 Bar Menu then Options --> General --> Performance and untick everything. change the recommended size lower then see how it runs. Note: 1 = No Multiprocessor = slow again. Try 2 Restart Firefox after making these changes please.
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Thanks that helped I had to use Chrome to contact you guys. On the taskmanager, Firefox uses 2x the amount of memory as Chrome. Is that normal? Now let's see if I can open more than 3 tabs.
Off subject - what are the best settings so you will not be tracked?
Thanks again I had uninstalled and reinstalled but did not know about the c drive.
If you followed up with everything below where to download the Full Version Installer then should be below 2 gigs and even stay below 1.
This also applies to Win10
Suggest going up the Start Menu and Right Click and see if can uninstall it if not using it. Go through every thing in Settings and turn it off if do not use. Empty Maps and turn it off and use Google Maps.
I mean every setting, Can also Right Click and Uninstall again.....
- Repair System Registry and Files
From a Dos Prompt Right Click and Run as Administrator then : Copy/Paste to Dos Window : DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth then hit Enter Note : DISM goes up to Microsoft for new ones.
The SFC /Scannow (SFC <space>/Scannow) command uses local files to fix issues does same thing but in Win 10 go Up and get New Files is better.
Update Video Card Drivers. (important).

Your 1st suggestion worked, I was just asking additional questions. You have been a big help.
Thanks
