do I need both 57.02(x64en-US) and 56.0(x86en-US) on my computer? Can I remove one, if so which?
Ever since I downloaded FF about a week ago my computer is barely running. I am not sure if I have 2 different versions. I am using Windows 10. I see that I have 2 versions?

Where do you see the two versions?
If this is only in the Windows Control Panel under Programs then this might be an issue with the Windows Registry and the Firefox updater didn't remove the entry of the previous version.
Note that 57.02(x64en-US) is a 64-bit Firefox version and 56.0(x86en-US) is a 32-bit Firefox version and is installed in a different location.
- (64-bit Firefox) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
- (32-bit Firefox) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\"
You can remove/uninstall the older 32-bit Firefox 56 version if Firefox 57 is working properly for you since both versions will likely use the same profile folder and that can cause issues.

You can keep both or just use one. On my system, I have Firefox 54, 57 and ESR. Each uses its own profile since some settings, add-ons are not compatible.

thank you both so much....yes the 2 versions were in the Control Panel under programs. I uninstalled the older version and it seems to have solved the issue....
