Thanks for reporting a fake update. Please see the article I found a fake Firefox update.

To close this page >> Open Task Manager >> Force-kill firefox.exe processes.

Oh, wow, I guess I did save that file and I found it in my downloads. I wish I could include a screenshot of that item here because it looks so legit. Sometimes I get too much in a hurry. Thank God I didn't open it.
