hi, you need to run 52esr on windows xp - newer versions of firefox won't run on that system anymore: Firefox has ended support for Windows XP and Vista

I take it you are trying to run portable Firefox 57.0 ?

You need to use the portable Firefox 52 ESR instead as 53.0 and later requires Windows 7 or later. Firefox 52.8.0 ESR is scheduled to be last update out in May 2018.
