Firefox Quantum doesn't seem to autodiscover websites' OpenSearch xml?

Either I don't understand how to access the feature, or Firefox is not able to detect websites' OpenSearch. At least for https://thepiratebay.org I know for sure the website advertises the required xml file, but Firefox does not detect it. Am I overseeing something?

I see the indicator that a search plugin is available there, but I have the old Search Bar sitting next to the URL bar. Green dot with a + lying over the magnifying glass icon in the Search Bar.

When I have the Search Bar hidden, the default with a new installation of Firefox or after the Firefox 57 update, there is no visual indication.

I don't know is that is a Bug or that is planned.

Ah, yes, you're right :) Thanks.

I can imagine this is a bit of a design glitch, then. But oh well, at least now I know how to add websites' search engines again.

You're welcome.
