Or is there still a way to export passwords? Tks
Hello,
Yes there is if you are using Windows then try PasswordFox. It still works on Windows 10 and FireFox 57.04 - tested ok
PasswordFox v1.58 - Extract the user names/passwords stored in Firefox http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/passwordfox.html
http://www.nirsoft.net/toolsdownload/passwordfox-x64.zip
Its a fairly straight forward app.
Run: PasswordFox.exe Edit: Select all File: Save as
Supports txt, xml, csv and vertical and horizontal html export.
btw... PasswordFox has been around for a long time.

Check the auto form fill settings, and describe what you see in Preferences > Security and Privacy > Saved Logins.. What do you see for the website you are on? Not all websites support auto form fill. Are you using a 3rd party password manager, such as LastPass for example? If so, please report it to their support.
Do you have multiple profiles or an Old Firefox Data Folder on the Desktop
Does the profile in the Finder or Windows File Explorer appear to have logins.json file that has a recent date or larger than 1MB?
Are you using Firefox Sync, what did you do recently on your account and are you logged in?
Are you using a master password: https://mzl.la/2ejOqf
No there is no longer an export passwords tab since upgrade. I was using Password Exporter Add-on which it looks like in now not supported since upgrade. I don't have anhy older versions now or sync. Is it possible to use older previous version of Firefox? Or is there still a way to export passwords? Tks
If you only want to carry over all the passwords and do not need to merger with existing password then you can copy logins.json and key3.db to replace the existing copies of these two files. If you need to merge passwords then best would be to install Firefox 52.5.0 ESR and use that version with a separate profile with logins.json and key3.db and use the password exporter extension to create a logins.json file with all the passwords and copy the two files back to the original profile. It is more effort, but should work once you understand how this works with copying logins.json and key3.db between profiles.

I have created a simple application called FF Password Exporter for exporting your passwords from Firefox 58+ to a portable CSV or JSON format. It works on Windows, macOS, and Linux. You can download it from GitHub here: https://github.com/kspearrin/ff-password-exporter
