I received an email encouraging me to download the new version of Firefox. When I did this, I got a warning from McAfee that the site is at high risk of being malicious. Now I am stuck and have no Firefox browser to work with! What should I do?

Please uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved.

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0 with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

Hi! Download the new version from here: https://firefox.com

When I tried to launch the new Firefox, I got the same high-risk warning from McAfee. I am afraid to ignore this warning.

It is a false positive in this case.

I tried taking the risk and opening the new Firefox. It looks different and makes no mention of Mozilla or Firefox in the banner. I tried to use the browser and got the same high risk message from McAfee.

In the email I was hacked by an extension called "Email Access Online." I think I successfully removed it.

Glad to see you've figured it out. Way to go!
