I was trying to get access to RSS feeds (brand new effort for me)...came across "add RSS feed extension" in firefox...don't remember which I added (didn't know there were several) but I had to restart FF. After I restarted FF...big red X No RSS feed listed! appeared on extreme left of my toolbar. I don't want that there. Now I think I see RSS icon on the right side of toolbar...several buttons but I don't know what I should do...don't want extension anymore

Thank you for sharing your add-ons list, it looks like you installed the "Simple RSS Reader (SRR)" extension. I am not familiar with it myself.

Firefox has a feature called "live bookmarks" which you could look into. It saves an RSS feed URL to your bookmarks menu or bookmarks toolbar, and when you click it, it drops down a list of the titles of the articles in the feed. When you click them, that article loads. More info on that: Live Bookmarks - Subscribe to a web page for news and updates.

Does that sound useful?
