Is there a way to bring back Containers Hover UI on the new tab button?

Back when I first started testing containers I really liked the hover UI I used it a lot and had a bunch of different containers and I'm not a fan of holding it down. Is there anything that can be done at all to bring back the UI ? I liked it popping up when I hovered over the new tab button.

You can modify this pref on the about:config page:

  • privacy.userContext.longPressBehavior

0 disables long press 1 when clicked, the menu is shown 2 the menu is shown after X milliseconds

I changed it to 0, nothing appears on hover. And it seems to reset back to 2 when I restart firefox

If you set the pref to 0 then nothing happens and this function is disabled. You can't make the menu appear on hover AFAIK. You will have to (long) click the plus button and either use 1 (left-click) or 2 (long left-click) for the value.

Note that this feature won't work in a Private Browsing mode window.

It is really unfortunate that the hover was removed. Out of sight, out of mind makes containers a little too easy for me to forget to use. I REALLY like the hover option as it forces me to be visually reminded to be more secure. I hope this comes back as an optional feature.
