Up to yesterday I saw the battery image and charge depleting as I ran the machine without a power cord. Today that visual display on the task bar is gone. How can I get it restored?

Chosen solution

Hi, try restarting your PC (not Shut down and cold start which in Win10 is not the same thing). Maybe even try it a couple of times.

If that doesn't work, right click the Taskbar > Settings > (Notification Area) > Turn system icons on or off, and make sure Power is on.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you!

Thanks for the suggestion. I will keep that in mind if it happens again. I did find the battery icon in the "show hidden icon" area. I dragged it out and am happy.
