How do I change the color of my bookmark folders back to yellow?
I just upgraded to Version 56.0b3 and now my bookmark folders are grey instead of yellow. So now they blend in with all the other text in my bookmarks folder and doesn't differentiate them from links. This seems like a change for the sake of change and I wonder why you waste developers' time with this sort of thing. Unless you are trying to emulate some other browser in which case I have even less faith in what Mozilla is doing.
This is the reason I am always SO hesitant to upgrade to a newer version. Sure I can get used to it but why should I? Not all change is progress.....

Never mind. Somehow I was on the Beta install so that was a Beta version. I installed the full version 55.0.3 and I'm back to normal. I'm not sure why I was on Beta but I'm off and I'm done struggling with this stuff for the day.....

Now I realize that the folders are only gray in the bookmarks sidebar. When I look at my bookmarks in the dropdown from the menu bar they are still yellow. So it's not even consistent.

For a bit of a background and a workaround for this issue, have a look at this question.
I've downloaded the newest version. It is NOT beta. ...and yet my bookmark change to gray has not turned back to yellow. what gives.... ?
You will have to use code in userChrome.css to make changes to the bookmark favicon.
Here is another thread with some code for userChrome.css
