How do I clear a saved password in fire fox?

I have a saved password and when I try to change it FireFox wants to insert the old password.

Type about:preferences#security<enter> in the address bar.

Under Logins, Turn on Remember Logins. To check the passwords you have listed, press Saved Logins.
